Vista in the news
Yes it is. What is Vista? It seems to be either the best operating system ever or just more of the same except it has good graphics and gadgets, is see through, etc. All of which Linux Fedora Core 6 has - and it runs well too, I may add. I did not wait for it, but downloaded it two months ago, Fedora Core 5 was still serving me well but I wanted to rationalise Linux disk use as it was better at managing large volumes than Windows (which seemed to lose them when it really mattered). So I got a new drive and installed Fedora 6 on Saturday and then finished the application I was part way through (with all services working fine after a very smooth transistion by being able to run the old system on another CPU - I believe 6 hours is not bad for an OS upgrade. And Linux Fedora Core 6 is a very nice OS. Much the same as Fedora Core 2 except a hell of a lot better.
What has this to do with Vista? Not much. Except that I expect upgrades to Vista will require the same time wasting fun I had when installing the lastest Opera browser (opera.com) which has a growing library current with 976 gadgets from news feeds to sim aquarium games - my aquarium is now worth about $8,000 with this fish stock
